Spring Has Sprung

Here in the south, spring is just sprouting through the soil and the weather is getting warmer. We know, though, that we expect another drop in temperature and possibly a frost before true spring has arrived, but the pollen has definitely exploded onto our cars. This is also time for us to really shine with programs and book sales.

We are still moving and shaking in the right direction with school programs and have a few already lined up for March. After coming off of a 7-week program with Cape Fear Academy's ACE afterschool group and a 5-day in-school field trip with North Topsail Elementary School, we've got a little bit of a breather before heading to schools in New Hanover, Pender, and Onslow Counties!

We have also decided that the best way to really market ourselves locally is by adding a little swag to our vehicle. Although our car is partially used for business purposes, it serves as the mode of transportation to get us to and from schools and events and allows us to haul our program materials. What better way to show off our business than by adding a bit of our logo and motto to the vehicle? (photos will be posted soon)

On our agenda for spring will of course be the Wilmington Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 22nd. We will again have a table under the big tent at Long Leaf Park and this year will feature our Explore Your Watershed Series books, as well as our Girl Scout Book, and our ever-popular and longest running educator and student resources for sale. We might even have a tablet at our table to be able to order them directly through our PayPal order form online.

Here's to a bright and beautiful spring season, where we hope to blossom the minds of local students and adults through our programming and books!
